Certified Organic
This badge confirms that an independent third-party certification body such as the Soil Association or Ecocert has certified the completed product, rather than just the ingredients included in the product.
Charitable
This badge recognises a brand's commitment to giving back through its support of social or environmental charitable organisations and initiatives.
Conscious Packaging
This badge demonstrates that all packaging for this product or collection is either biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, or made from recycled materials.
Certified Cruelty Free
Although cosmetics tested on animals are not allowed to be sold within the UK, this badge indicates when a product and brand have taken the extra step to become certified against animal testing by an independent third party such as PETA or Cruelty Free International.
Female Led/Founded
This badge confirms the company is majority-owned or founded by women, or has a majority of women in senior leadership positions.
Handmade
This badge indicates a collection is made entirely in the creator's studio and/or aims to preserve traditional handicraft techniques.
No Nasties
This badge confirms this product does not contain parabens, SLS, petroleum, mineral oil, paraffin wax, formaldehyde or phthalates.
Organic Ingredients
This badge indicates this product contains some certified organic ingredients but is not certified as organic.
Vegan
This badge confirms the product is suitable for vegans based on the ingredients listed. It may additionally be certified vegan by an independent third party, such as The Vegan Society.
